Let me tell you my story. On November 20, 2008 I started a website called http://www.article-submission-express.com. This site is actually for a service I offer for article submissions. Basically what we do is solicit clients who want to increase their search engine rank by getting one way text links to their website. Today as I write this it is December 7, 2008. I am now ranked 101 on Google for the term Article Submissions.

I have studied several of the guru search engine optimizers to figure out how to get a site to the top of the search engines. I have a few websites, so I divided up the techniques I am using to find out what the best way to promote a site, and move it through the rankings is. For this particular site I have only used two methods. I bough a few relatively low cost Google advertisements, and I submitted articles just like this. The reason I am writing to you today is because I can say with certainty that article submission may be one of the fastest was to move to the top of the search engine results.

Today when I searched I found that there are 15,200,000 results when you go to Google and search for article submissions. Don’t you think that being at position 101 after just 17 days is absolutely incredible? I must also mention that my website, through these techniques, was ranked in the Google search engine within 3 days of being built. I would say, I am displaying incredible results!

I have dedicated myself to the study of search engine optimization over the past several months. I want to rank high for a competitive word, because if I can learn how to do it, I will have many different avenues of income available to me. I have studied people like Aaron Wall and Brad Fallon, I also use Brad Callen’s software a lot. I started a few sites, and used different methods for each site to see which of these methods are most successful. Of all the sites I have started, this site with the article submissions and Google Ads has brought me not only the most efficient results, but the most results.

I have used code based and black hat techniques like TrafficBoosterPro which I will say worked well, but only for a few days. I was ranked number 60 for one of the most competitive keywords on the internet, I was so excited, then out of the blue ALL of my rankings disappeared. That site has never recovered, I work daily trying to promote it and it doesn’t move. I have also tried to build reciprocal links with other sites. Some say this works, some say this doesn’t work. I tend to agree that it doesn’t work. I see no results from the reciprocal links at all. Plus I always have to work to see if people are linking to me. To top that off, I build two similar sites that contained the same key words, built reciprocal links to one, and nothing to the other, for some very obscure key words, the one with no links outranks the one with reciprocal links. The one with no links, is outranking the one with reciprocal links and it is optimized for certain keywords.

The website that I designed http://www.article-submission-express.com has only been promoted through two very simple methods. Number one the day I had it designed I bought a few obscure Google ads to draw some traffic and make me some sales before I could get a good organic listing, or a listing I didn’t have to pay for. I then, used the program that the website sells to submit a few articles about Search Engine Optimization with a link to my website in the resource box, like the one below. These articles are just like the one you are reading now, and in a few weeks I had incredible rankings.

In all the studies I did with SEO, this is the most success I have ever had, and boy am I excited. I have used press releases as of yet, because they are too large of an investment for me at this point. I also with this particular website did not use link building programs or link exchange services. I haven’t traded any links, and I don’t even provide code to link to my website. I also have not ventured into adding links on a social networking site which would probably increase my rankings further. The website is a controlled experiment. I have to eliminate all variables and use certain techniques to test them against others. I am going to continue to do what I am doing and monitor Google. The best part of the whole bit is I am not at 101 in the rankings so it makes it easy to see which direction I go. This is one of the best-kept secrets that most gurus don’t want the average site owner to know. The more sites you have the bigger net you can cast to get traffic, and dominate any niche. The reason you might notice this is that when you are searching for a term, and get sites that appear to look the site, it is someone dominating that niche (poorly, if you can tell the sites are created by the same person).

As I already alluded to, this will take serious time and commitment. It is not unheard of to spend 60 to 80 hours a week working on an authority network for 6 months or more; in the end you will see the benefits for all that hard work.
